Sunniva is a specialist media, copyright and EU policy lawyer based in Wiggin’s Brussels office.

“I act for clients in the film & TV, music, computer games and publishing sectors, including major global content owners and distributors and content sector trade associations.

Having previously worked in-house at Warner Bros. and Perform Group, I have a deep insight into the issues impacting the media industry and a clear understanding of the legal and strategic support needed for media businesses to meet their commercial objectives.

I am also experienced in public policy matters, focusing on EU and Member State copyright law, media regulation and the digital agenda. I help organisations navigate the legislative and regulatory environment on an international, EU and individual Member State levels.

Being Brussels-based, I am at the heart of the EU policy debate. My sector-specific expertise means that I can seamlessly support clients in devising and implementing policy positions and engaging with the EU institutions and key stakeholders, especially on the EU’s digital strategy initiatives, including proposed rules concerning the role and obligations of online intermediaries and the regulation of ‘gatekeeper’ platforms.”
