Wigg-inc is our ethnicity and cultural heritage people network.

Our mission is to make Wiggin better for everyone by creating an informed and inclusive environment where we can all discuss things openly, and everyone is valued for being themselves.

The group is open to Wiggin employees who want to join a supportive environment to discuss and celebrate difference.

Established in 2020, Wigg-inc was formed to promote awareness and understanding of issues that aren’t often talked about. Wigg-inc helps to ensure there’s an inclusive framework within Wiggin which promotes a level playing field for all, whilst ensuring that Black, Asian and minority ethnic employees of the firm are given the support they need to be their authentic selves, and a platform to celebrate diversity.

Our members can trace their heritage back to countries all over the world (including across Africa, Asia, South America and the Middle East) which contributes to the rich fabric of the firm.

The group has two main roles: firstly, to provide a safe and supportive space for people to air their views and discuss their experiences, and secondly to educate and improve cultural awareness and understanding across the firm.

Wigg-inc isn’t a top-down initiative – it’s grown organically from within the firm and we collaborate with the management team on policies and practices affecting our members. This approach will ensure the group remains a reflection of its members and ideals.

Despite our recent formation, we’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far.

We’ve organised awareness-raising events for the whole firm, celebrated events that are important to us like Black History Month and Diwali and produced a series of educational pieces discussing the achievements of cultural icons from a minority ethnic background.

What’s most pleasing is that we’ve created a positive, supportive environment which empowers our members to feel confident in their own skin. We’re looking forward to welcoming more members and celebrating even more successes in the future.
