Our LGBT+ Network is an internal group open to all who work at Wiggin regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity – allies are very welcome.
Our mission is to ensure that Wiggin is a supportive and inclusive employer that LGBT+ individuals want to work for, and a firm that LGBT+ clients want to engage with.
The network provides useful resources to support all employees on LGBT+ issues and increases understanding and knowledge amongst non-LGBT+ colleagues. We also consult with the firm’s management on improving internal policies and practices which impact upon employee welfare from an LGBT+ perspective.
We’ve organised several awareness-raising events for the whole firm – recent initiatives include training on trans and non-binary issues in the business sector by Global Butterflies, an outing to the BFI Flare LGBTIQ+ film festival and the now annual Wiggin Pride Week. We also aim to support LGBT+ charities through our events, having undertaken fundraising initiatives for Stonewall, Positive East and Imaan.
We also represent the firm at various external events, including the Stonewall Workplace Conference, the Intertech LGBT+ Diversity Forum and the launch of Starting Out, Stonewall’s LGBT careers guide.
