Georgina Hart

Senior Associate

Georgie is a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation team who acts for clients from a range of sectors on litigation matters relating to patents, designs, copyright, trade marks and passing off.

“I have experience of litigating cases in the IPEC, High Court and Court of Appeal as well as experience of having dealt with trade mark disputes in the trade mark registries, including the UKIPO and EUIPO, and patent matters in the EPO.

The diverse range of clients I act for in relation to all the key IP rights allows me to take a strategic and pragmatic approach to advising clients, ensuring the clients’ best interests are kept front and centre. I help clients through each stage of the litigation process from early stage planning to the conclusion of the case.

In 2017 I completed the Oxford University Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice, which gave me a comprehensive grounding in all aspects of intellectual property law.

I am an active member of the firm’s LGBT+ Network, which has worked to develop policies and organise events to promote inclusivity and diversity in the workplace. I am also on the Committee of IPOut, an industry wide community for LGBT+ people and their allies working in the IP professions.

I am also involved with the firm’s Pro Bono and Volunteering programmes, which form part of the firm’s Responsibility initiative.”

Georgina Hart is an excellent member of any litigation team, especially in relation to technical litigation.
