Gaelyn Fuhrmann

Senior Associate

Gaelyn is an experienced disputes lawyer who has advised commercial clients across a broad range of sectors in high-value litigation, arbitration and complex regulatory investigations.

“Since joining Wiggin I have really enjoyed getting to know our media and publishing clients and helping them to resolve a whole range of issues.  These include high court proceedings in defamation and IP rights, and resolving early stage disputes over broadcast, publishing and content.  I look for a positive and efficient way through any contentious issue and I run my practice with sensitivity to my clients’ strategic priorities and their day-to-day work.  Disputes don’t need to be a source if stress if they are managed pro-actively and with a cool head.  When an issue goes all the way to litigation I try to smooth the path for my clients, and it is my role to be tenacious and detail-oriented on their behalf.

The beauty of working in this sector is that our clients ask us to think about many current issues and in the context of new laws and technologies.  Every day brings a new question and the chance to get under the skin of a fascinating business.”

Gaelyn holds Master’s degrees in both music and law from the Universities of Oxford and London respectively.  Her LLM specialised in IP and Information Law.  She is an English-qualified Solicitor-Advocate.
