The IPO has published guidance for UK digital service providers offering services in the EU on what they need to do to comply with the Network and Information System Regulations 2018 (which implemented the Network and Information Systems Directive (2016/1148/EU).

The guidance covers:

  • appointing a representative in the EU;
  • identifying whether the organisation is a Relevant Digital Services Provider (RDSP) in the UK; and
  • how RDSPs are regulated in the UK.
