Media, entertainment and technology law firm Wiggin LLP has announced the appointment of Ben Whitelock as its new Senior Partner with effect from 1 April 2024.

Ben succeeds Charles Moore, who has held the post since his election in 2020. Ben will take on responsibility for delivering the firm’s strategy, and leading the firm’s internal and external communications, working closely with CEO John Banister.

Ben joined the firm in 2007 from Allen & Overy. He has over 20 years’ experience advising on corporate transactions, including M&A, shareholder arrangements and joint ventures, corporate venturing/venture capital and corporate re-organisations and restructurings. Ben is particularly focused on deals involving technology, betting and gaming, TV and publishing/events businesses, acting for leading companies, investors and entrepreneurs in these sectors, with much of his work involving a cross-border element. He is described by clients as the “consummate professional” and is praised for being “personable, pragmatic, commercial and highly competent”.

Supporting Ben and John on the delivery of the next phase of Wiggin’s strategy are partnership board members David Quli (Film & TV), Ross Sylvester (Digital Commerce) and Rachel Alexander (IP).
