Ofcom has published its Television Access Services report, which details the level of subtitling, signing and audio description provided in 2016.

Certain television broadcasters are required to provide a proportion of their programmes with subtitling, signing and audio description, known collectively as access services.

In 2016, all UK channels required to provide access services, continued to meet or exceed their targets.

Since 2014, some non-domestic channels licensed by Ofcom are also required to provide access services.  All but one of these channels – AXN, broadcasting to Hungary – met or exceeded their targets.  For a link to the report, click here.
