Olivia Aldous

Senior Associate

Olivia has a broad intellectual property practice, advising clients on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters covering copyright, trade marks, designs and passing off. Olivia joined Wiggin in 2016 after training at an international City firm.

“My contentious experience includes acting in litigation before the High Court, Intellectual Property Enterprise Court and Supreme Court, as well as in contested registry proceedings before the UKIPO and EUIPO. I have a particular specialism in online rights protection and enforcement. In addition to my experience in contentious matters, I regularly advise on brand protection, the protection of creative works and on the IP aspects of corporate M&A deals.

I am lucky to have had experience working in house on secondment in the IP team of an international sports betting and gaming company, which gave me hands-on sector experience. I hold the Oxford University Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice. I am also a member of AIPPI and IPSoc, and have contributed to a number of publications including Entertainment Law Review and Intellectual Property Magazine.”
