Isabel’s work spans the breadth of the interactive entertainment industry, including advising video games and digital platform businesses. She has particular insight into the mobile and casual gaming markets.
“Having previously worked in-house at Disney Interactive and King in both legal and business development roles, I have experience advising on some of the top titles in the games industry on a day-to-day basis. I have a particular focus on regulatory matters (such as online safety, monetisation and child protection), but I regularly advise clients on commercial and intellectual property issues too.
I’m fortunate enough to have worked with a whole range of clients, from independent games developers, global publishers, social media platforms and adult content providers. I provide strategic product advice across a whole range of regulatory requirements; some of my work highlights include auditing some of the world’s most popular free-to-play games for dark patterns, advising several companies on their Children’s Code engagements with the ICO and helping build governance frameworks and risk assessments for a range of digital platforms.”
Prior to joining Wiggin, Isabel was at Purewal & Partners. Isabel has written for a number of publications including the EU Video Games Law Handbook, GI.biz and Legal Futures. She is also a frequent speaker, including at events such as Pocket Gamer Connects, Develop Conference and the VGBA EuroSummit.
Isabel is very knowledgeable and personable. She has excellent client care skills and is a very good communicator.
