HomeInsightsBody of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) seeks stakeholder input on its Guidelines on Net neutrality

BEREC has published a public consultation on updating its Net Neutrality Guidelines. Contributions from stakeholders should be submitted by 28 November 2019.

BEREC has published an update to its Net Neutrality Guidelines, adopted in 2016, and has renamed them the “BEREC Guidelines on the Implementation of the Open Internet Regulation”.

As well as comments on the changes to the Guidelines, BEREC also welcomes feedback on paragraphs with no suggested amendments. For example, there has been discussion among some stakeholders that the methods identified in paragraphs 69 and 70 of the Guidelines are not sufficient for traffic identification and that, for instance, domain names should be considered as generic content. BEREC has therefore also included specific questions on this particular topic. To access the consultation, click here.
