News Wiggin advises on the production and financing of ITV’s adaptation of Maigret

LONDON – Media, Technology and IP law firm Wiggin has advised on the production and financing of ITV’s ‘Maigret sets a trap‘, which was aired on Monday 28th of March.

Inspector Maigret, who appeared in 75 novels and 28 short stories between 1931 and 1972 is the famous French detective created by author Georges Simenon.  Comedy legend Rowan Atkinson took up the role of the French inspector in ‘Maigret Sets a Trap‘, in which he must catch a serial killer of women with no common feature except their hair.  Atkinson has so far signed to play Inspector Maigret in a further adaptation, ‘Maigret’s Dead Man‘, which will air later this year.
