News Wiggin advises Endemol UK on the acquisition of Artists’ Studio

Media law firm Wiggin has advised Endemol UK, one of Britain’s largest independent production companies, on the acquisition of TV production company Artists’ Studio, which produces hit TV drama “The Fall” starring Gillian Anderson.

As part of the deal, Endemol will globally distribute Artists Studio productions, including the second season of “The Fall,” which has been commissioned for production in 2014, as well as numerous projects commissioned and in development for U.K. and U.S. broadcasters.    Artists’ Studio becomes part of Endemol UK, which has drama credits including “Peaky Blinders” (Tiger Aspect and Caryn Mandabach for BBC Two), “Ripper Street” (Tiger Aspect for BBC One and Amazon Studios), “Black Mirror” (Zeppotron for Channel 4), “Prisoners’ Wives” (Tiger Aspect for BBC One) and “The Mill” (DSP for Channel 4).
