Media law firm, Wiggin, has advised multi-award winning producer, Big Talk, on its acquisition by ITV Studios.
Big Talk Productions is one of the UK’s leading film and TV producers, and is behind the hit shows ‘Friday Night Dinner’ for Channel 4, and BAFTA award winning ‘Rev’ and ‘Him & Her’ for the BBC. The acquisition also includes Big Talk’s sister company, film producer Big Talk Pictures, which is responsible for the iconic films ‘Shaun of the Dead’, ‘Hot Fuzz’ and most recently ‘The World’s End’.
The Wiggin team was led by Michael Brader, partner and co-head of Wiggin’s corporate group, assisted by Ben Headicar.
Matthew Justice, Managing Director of Big Talk, commented: “Michael and Ben are a terrific team, and possess that rare combination of great technical ability with a nimble commercial approach, which suited Big Talk’s independent spirit perfectly. Their experience, tenacity and wisdom were invaluable in our sale process.”
Michael runs a market-leading practice in independent TV mergers and acquisitions and recently advised The Garden Productions on its acquisition by ITV.
