Media, Technology and IP law firm Wiggin has advised Eleventh Hour Films on the production of the new drama series New Blood, created by celebrated author Anthony Horowitz. It is one of the first drama series to be previewed exclusively on iPlayer (from June 2nd) before it launches on BBC One on June 9th.

New Blood is a new approach to investigative drama, directed by Anthony Philipson (‘Our Girl‘, ‘My Mad Fat Diary‘, ‘24 Hours in A&E‘). The seven-part series sets out to show a unique side of modern London through the eyes of two outsiders, Stefan and Rash, junior investigators for the Serious Fraud Office and the police respectively, brought together by two seemingly unrelated cases.

Wiggin Film & TV Partner Medwyn Jones led the team who advised on this adaptation.  Jones specialises in television and acts for many of the leading television production companies, rights owners, writers, on-screen and production talent.  He has advised on some of the most popular television series, including ‘Penny Dreadful‘, ‘Sherlock‘ and ‘Call the Midwife’, as well as the recent television adaptations of ‘Maigret‘, ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover‘, ‘And Then There Were None’, ‘The Outcast’ and ‘Esio Trot’.
