Priya is a barrister and intellectual property litigator with over 23 years’ experience specialising in complex, multi-jurisdictional, hi-tech disputes involving medical devices, software, data and other disruptive technologies.

Priya has extensive experience in patent, trade secrets and copyright litigation, having represented several household names in high-profile disputes.  Priya has acted in a number of reported IP cases in the IP Enterprise Court, High Court and Court of Appeal in the UK, to the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg and regularly involving parallel proceedings abroad in national courts, the European Patent Office and Unified Patent Court.

Outside of patent litigation, Priya is ranked as a “Leading Partner” for Copyright by Legal 500 and “Highly Recommended” for trade secret litigation by World IP Review and was nominated for “UK Soft IP Practitioner of the Year” at MIP’s EMEA Awards 2026.

Priya also advises clients on intellectual property issues relating to AI and GenAI tools and regularly leads client workshops and roundtables on these topics. She is active in the ChIPs network and speaks regularly on the IP litigation risk associated with disruptive technologies (such as AI and data mining) and protecting valuable business information.

Prior to joining Wiggin, Priya was a partner at an international law firm and spent over a decade at another TMT-focused international law firm.
