We strive to be visionary, authentic, unified, responsible and excellent.
Visionary
Our clients operate in fast-moving sectors facing new and complex risks and ever-expanding regulatory obligations. We use our deep market insight to understand the changes affecting our clients, to anticipate what’s coming down the line and to offer business-focused solutions to manage risk and leverage opportunity.
By way of example, we co-founded and subsequently sold to Corsearch our own technology company to protect IP online, we created Litmus, an industry leading IR35 compliance solution, and co-created Cirkus, a subscription video on demand platform. We have other legal technology products in development, combining cutting-edge legal expertise with technological solutions built around our clients’ businesses.
Authentic
There isn’t a typical Wiggin person. At Wiggin you’ll find an eclectic group of individuals, an informal and friendly working environment and a culture which encourages us to collaborate and be ourselves.
Our employee networks – Women of Wiggin, Pride of Wiggin and Wigg-inc – reflect that commitment, supporting colleagues across gender, sexual orientation, and ethnicity and cultural heritage.
Unified
We have a friendly and sociable workplace – staff work closely as teams and are inclusive, open and respectful of each other, with plenty of opportunities to socialise and build friendships inside and outside the office.
When clients bring us their most complex matters, for example a multi-jurisdictional content platform launch or a major IP dispute, teams across the firm come together to support them.
Outside work, we run Wigstock every two years, host regular events at our in-house pub, The Wiggin Arms, and have an active sports scene including a football team, ski trips and annual cycle challenges.
Our equity partnership operates on a pure lockstep model. We believe this best serves our clients’ interests by supporting collaboration and promoting teamwork.
Responsible
Our purpose isn’t solely to generate profit. We support many charities – both financially and by giving our time – and work with local communities to help those that are disadvantaged by inequality in accessing the legal profession.
Each equity partner at Wiggin gives 1% of their earnings to charitable causes, administered through the Wiggin Charitable Foundation. Over the years the Foundation has supported the following charities:
- The Music Works
- Gloucestershire County Council (music discretionary grants)
- Pleasance Theatre Trust Limited
- Into Film
- My Big Career
- Brit School
- Roundhouse Film Fund
- British Independent Film Awards CIC
- Nottingham Music Hub
