Gráinne McKenna is a partner in the Film & TV Group with over twenty years’ experience in the film and television industries.
She has unparalleled private practice and in-house experience across both the film and TV sectors, having previously been SVP Business Affairs at Working Title Films and then Head of Business Affairs within NBCUniversal International Productions. She provides strategic business affairs and legal advice on all aspects of film and television production, financing and exploitation.
Gráinne’s breadth of expertise enables her to represent a wide range of clients, including major and “mini major” US film studios and producers in both the US and UK. Recently she was lead lawyer on feature films such as Downton Abbey, Last Night in Soho, Emma and Our Ladies. She also represents high profile US and UK television studios and production companies, with her recent shows being His Dark Materials, The Capture, Hanna, Treadstone, Industry and Belgravia amongst others.
Her in-depth knowledge and first-hand experience of both the film and television sectors means her clients value her pragmatic and insightful analysis of their business needs and trust her strategic judgement.
Gráinne has a Masters degree in European Broadcasting Regulation and a French Maîtrise in European Law.
