HomeInsightsInternet Services Providers’ Association welcomes Government aims set out in its Future Telecoms Infrastructure Review

Following publication of the DCMS Future Telecoms Infrastructure Review, the Internet Services Providers’ Association said that it shares the Government’s ambition to “deliver world class digital infrastructure maintaining the UK’s position as a leading digital economy”.

ISPA says that rollout is market-driven, and ISPA members are at the forefront of rolling out gigabit capable infrastructure and services across the country, from established players to alt nets, and significant investment is planned and under way. A clear and stable strategy from Government that provides regulatory certainty, incentivises investment and allows for competition and innovation will help industry deliver the digital infrastructure required.

ISPA says that it particularly welcomes commitment to remove barriers to rollout, “the single most important lever policymakers can use to accelerate the rollout of networks”. To read ISPA’s statement in full, click here.
