Patrick is an associate in Wiggin’s data protection team. He advises clients, ranging from the largest global companies to SMEs and start ups, on the implications of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). With a background in regulatory, NHS and public sector data protection work, Patrick is a leading authority on the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and regulatory matters. He regularly advises clients, with great success, in respect of ICO investigations as well as challenges and rights requests from data subjects. He has advised on numerous complex information law matters including representing NHS trusts and other public bodies on high-profile and widely-reported information cases in the courts. He is also a regular speaker representing Wiggin at events in data protection and tech circles.
