As reported last week, Ofcom released an update on the coronavirus which sets out how it is adapting its regulatory approach during this period. In that update, it advised that all existing consultation deadlines are suspended with immediate effect.

With regards to its further consultation on protecting participants in TV and radio programmes, Ofcom has decided to extend the deadline for consultation responses by 12 weeks. The new closing date for this consultation is now 7 July 2020. To access the consultation, click here.
