HomeInsightsOfcom announces modification to BT’s regulatory financial reporting requirements

Ofcom has published a statement withdrawing one of BT’s regulatory financial reporting requirements.

Ofcom explains that last year, it set a requirement on BT to provide the regulator with information about costs, to be included in its calculations of the amount BT should charge other telecoms providers for access to its underground ducts and telegraph poles.

Since setting this requirement, Ofcom has developed a more detailed way of modelling BT’s relevant costs and setting its prices and has obtained the necessary cost information. Therefore it has withdrawn the requirement on BT to provide this information to us. To read Ofcom’s statement in full, click here.
