Simon Deane-Johns

Simon Deane-Johns is a consultant solicitor specialising in FinTech regulatory and commercial work, including e-money and payment services, P2P lending, crowdfunding and data services. He advises both payment services providers and large merchants; has advised on the launch of many innovative start-ups; and is involved in assessing various potential applications of distributed ledger technology. In addition to his many years in private practice, Simon has previously consulted at Amazon and WorldPay; and led legal teams at GE and Earthport. Simon also chairs the Media Board of the Society for Computers and Law; and speaks and writes regularly on financial technology, including recent coverage of the new Payment Services Directive (PSD2).
