Nicholas is a commercial and data protection lawyer and has worked with our digital commerce team since joining Wiggin in 2021.

“I assist clients in the digital and technology sectors on a range of subjects including data protection, privacy, licensing, and commercial contracting. My data protection experience includes responding to data subject access requests, conducting impact assessments, drafting policies and notices, and advising on risks in relation to innovative technologies. I particularly enjoy the aspects of my practice where I can use my technical knowledge to the benefit of my legal advice, having a good working understanding of systems architecture, AI and machine learning, and decentralised applications.

I also advise on multi-jurisdictional projects, most recently in relation to a global risk analysis of cryptocurrency and other distributed ledger technology – liaising with local specialists and working at the intersection of crypto-specific regulation and financial services regimes.

I have litigation experience in relation to IT outsourcing and consumer products, and have spent time on secondment at a leading technology company where I advised on both dispute resolution and public sector strategic engagements.”
