Specialist media law firm Wiggin is delighted to announce that it will take part in Tour de Law 2015, a cycling challenge raising funds for Breat Cancer Care.

Tour de Law will take place on Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 1 October. Over the course of the two days, the firm’s employees will cycle 1,000 km on static bikes, the distance between London and Paris and back, and compete against other participating law firms. All the money raised will go to Breast Cancer Care, a charity that provides information and support to people affected by breast cancer.

Wiggin CEO John Banister comments: “We are delighted to take part in this year’s Tour de Law, and look forward to a bit of friendly competition against other law firms to raise money for a great cause. Breast Cancer Care provides invaluable emotional and practical support to everyone who is affected by Breast Cancer. We are all raring to go and get on our bikes.”

Breast Cancer Care was founded by Betty Westgate in 1973, five years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Betty quickly recognised the need for an organisation giving non-medical help and post-operative information. Since it did not exist, she set up one herself. Betty lived for more than 30 years following her diagnosis and passed away in 2000.
