Wiggin, the UK’s leading media law firm, announces its sponsorship of the Alliance for Intellectual Property’s 2nd annual conference. Intellectual Property: How UK companies are delivering economic growth at home and abroad, will take place in London on 4 December 2012.

Susie Winter, Director General of the Alliance for Intellectual Property said: “We’re proud to have the leading media law firm, Wiggin, on board for what promises to be the event of the year for IP industries.”

Simon Baggs, litigation partner and head of the Content Protection Group at Wiggin adds: “Now more than ever, when economic growth remains slow, the protection of intellectual property rights is vital. The Government has recognised the importance of the creative industries in supporting the recovery, and we know that IP rights help to drive innovation, which will in turn contribute to our much needed economic turnaround.

“For Wiggin, the key has always been enforcing IP rights, particularly in the online environment, and protecting the commercial interests of media companies when these interests are at risk. Protection enables the right environment for distribution of content on multiple platforms worldwide. For these reasons, we are delighted to be sponsoring the Alliance for IP’s annual conference. We firmly believe in the importance of harnessing the value of intellectual property, and welcome the opportunity to discuss how to maximise its benefits with our industry peers.”
