The Federation says that its “Global Talent Report” outlines the crucial role that international talent plays in the UK’s creative industries and why the UK must have access to the brightest and best from around the world if it is to remain the global leader in this sector.

The Federation says that the creative industries face “severe skills shortages” and find it difficult to attract and retain the international talent they need to succeed.  This skills crisis will be exacerbated should freedom of movement end after Brexit.

The Global Talent Report sets out recommendations on how future immigration systems for both EU and non-EU workers can best support the creative industries.  It draws on evidence submitted by Federation members working across the sector and throughout the UK.

The Federation calls on the Government and MPs from across all political parties to engage with it and respond to its proposals.  The Federation says that it will continue to make the case for the sector at the highest levels of Government throughout the Brexit negotiations and beyond.  It will also submit evidence to the Migration Advisory Committee’s consultation on the importance of EEA workers to the UK.  To access the Report, click here.
