Betting and Gaming
Our Betting and Gaming group is led by partner Jason Chess. We work for clients across the remote gambling spectrum. These include broadcasters, publishers, retailers and technology companies and range from major gaming companies and platform operators to smaller, entrepreneurial, interactive start-up businesses.
We advise both-on and off-shore gaming suppliers as well as online, mobile, television and internet-based content providers. For example, we advised Littlewoods Gaming on its ground-breaking and industry-leading tie-up to provide exclusive betting, gaming and lotteries products to the ITV channels and we have subsequently advised clients such as GTECH G-2, IGT, PartyGaming, Mansion and BetClic.
Our expertise in electronic gambling is derived from a deep understanding of the industry and the complex regulations that govern it.
Furthermore, our expertise in the field of interactive and enhanced television services enables us to advise clients on a whole range of interactive products, such as advertising, prize competitions, voting, programme information and support material, adult services, lotteries, draws, betting and gaming.
As a broad-based media and gambling law firm we can advise in the field of electronic gambling and work for pure gambling clients as well as those media companies who want to enter and expand their presence in this dynamic sector. We work with the leading names in the industry as well as new start-up companies on all matters relating to licensing, distribution and regulation. We routinely provide advice on contractual joint ventures and tie-ups with other companies, advertising regulation, marketing and TV advertising, HR, employment and property, as they all apply to and affect providers and the users of gambling.
