• Sue has been recognised as a leader in corporate tax for many years (e.g. Chambers; Legal 500; Who's who) and contributes to many publications (e.g. Tolley's Tax; PLC Tax manual).
• Advising venture capitalist fund Blackstone on its £120m acquisition of Southern Cross and its subsequent merging with NHP Care Homes.
• Acting for Royal Bank of Scotland on the £250m acquisition, restructuring and subsequent disposal of a portfolio of industrial properties.
• Advising multi-national PLC's, including Smith & Nephew on its domestic and cross-border tax issues (e.g. its pan-European joint venture with German Beiersdorf).
• Acting for Chelsfield Plc on its disposal of Wentworth Golf Club for £65m.
• Acting for NIB, a major Dutch investment bank on various UK initiatives including PFI and venture capital investments.
• Advising British Telecom on its £2.3 billion outsourcing of its UK property portfolio to Telereal; and its development of 1,700 acres in Rugby.
