He has developed particular specialisms in the media, leisure (especially golf) and wind energy property markets in terms of such businesses' UK real estate needs. Matt combines tenacity with a sense of humour and commercial realism, enabling him to provide sound professional advice to meet the practical requirements of clients and their businesses.

ITV plc on the disposal of the Moving Picture Company Limited to Thomson/Technicolor for £52.7m
Acquisition of further leasehold retail premises for Confetti Network's expansion of its UK-operating outlets.
Establishment of Californian-based high-tech product company in its European headquarters comprising office, production and storage facilities in Slough.
Acquisition of additional office storage and production facilities for Vestas Blades (UK) Limited at Venture Quays, Cowes, Isle of Wight. These are to support the expansion of its existing research and development and marine transfer facility and rotor-blade factory at Dodnor, Isle of Wight, the freehold acquisition and associated financing and construction projects relating to which were all carried out by Wiggin's property team.

Acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold interests in high value residential properties in central London for an A-list US-based film maker and a celebrity actress as well as advising on landlord and tenant and stamp duty land tax issues arising from a major US film-production company's residential lets on behalf of its employees in central London.
Advising a major US-based direct mail marketing/publishing company on its UK real estate portfolio comprising of office, light industrial and storage and production facilities.

Gained BA in Law in 1979 (MA in 1982) at Queens' College, Cambridge.
Articled at Coward Chance in London from 1983 to 1985 (before its merger with Clifford Chance). Qualifying as a solicitor in 1985, he worked in Coward Chance's commercial property department, gaining an invaluable breadth of experience in all types of property work and a specialism in secured lending.
