All our partners are retained only on merit. All can demonstrate a record of outstanding achievement in their chosen field. But in spite of differing personalities, backgrounds and experience, all share a common commitment to working in partnership with our clients. We challenge established thinking, go that extra mile, but always deliver focus, clarity and objectivity, balanced by an acute understanding of our clients' business objectives.

Marcus leads the firm's employment law team. He has specialised exclusively in employment law for 14 years and advises a wide range of clients from owner-managed businesses to large multinational corporations on all aspects of UK employment law.
Described in Chambers & Partners as "articulate and commercial" Marcus has a track record for guiding his clients safely through complex and often sensitive HR issues. He has particular expertise in employment tribunal litigation, discrimination, the enforcement of restrictive covenants and advising on contractual claims. He also regularly advises on TUPE and the employment law issues arising out of corporate restructuring and redundancy exercises. He is an experienced tribunal advocate and is a regular speaker at employment law seminars and conferences.
Notable achievements include acting for a US multinational in its successful defence of a $15m High Court breach of contract claim (one of the highest value wrongful dismissal claims ever litigated in the UK courts). He is also representing two public authorities in the defence of what is potentially the highest value employment tribunal claim ever brought under TUPE (amounting to several million GBP).
