Wiggin advises Telefonica’s Axonix on its acquisition of Statiq

LONDON – Media, technology and IP law firm Wiggin has advised Telefonica backed, Axonix on its acquisition of Statiq.

Axonix is a programmatic trading platform which combines first party data with supply to create tailored audiences across mobile technologies. Statiq’s products serve to provide an enhanced view of consumer interactions – allowing businesses to make better informed decisions.  The acquisition means that O2’s mobile marketing and insights provider, Weve, will be able to offer UK advertisers a significantly enhanced data solution, providing the opportunity to gain insight into consumer behaviour at a granular level.

Corporate partner Ciaran Hickey led the team who advised Axonix and was assisted by Emily Proverbs. They were supported by Technology partner Shaun Lowde and Tiffany Dale. Wiggin worked with the legal teams at Telefonica and Axonix, as well as the M&A team at Telefonica in Madrid.
